If you are a cash buyer and you know how to prepare the MOT (Memorandum of Transfer) or the Deed of Assignment then you dont need a lawyer.

Lots of people will think that the lawyer doing loan documentation is good enough(in actual fact, they only protect the Bank) .....so try to get one... easier in case of disputes...

Pengalaman: Selepas beli 'auction Properties' terus lantik peguam sendiri untuk uruskan penyediaan dokumen "Deed of assignment' jika rumah belum ada geran @ Memorandum Of Transfer (MOT) jika rumah dah ada geran. Sebaiknya jangan lantik peguam yang sama yang menguruskan urusan lelong (bank side) sebab saya dah terkena nasib baik ade lawyer sindiri.. lepas 5 bulan rumah confirm jadi milik saya.

sorry guys for posting such a 'stupid' topic.. i know the answer is obvious.. the reason why i ask this is because i notice on some condition of sale, it is written there that the buyer may be 'unrepresented'...

Blitz, what i did, i ask that lawyer if they have experience doing auction transaction. Before that i've ask 3 lawyers, than appoint 1 of them. But experience doing transaction with several lawyer give me good point of view which lawyer is good.

It's advisable for an auction buyer to get an experienced (in auctions) lawyer to do the transfer and financing proceeds. If you dont know any, just call up our hotline to understand how APF can provide free legal service for transfer as well as financing, at zero costs!
